Founded in 2022, Cedarstone is York University’s premier catering and event service created to serve students, staff, and the surrounding community. Over the years, we’ve grown into a trusted venue for conferences, banquets, cultural events, and private gatherings. With hundreds of events hosted annually, we’ve built a reputation for reliability, versatility, and care.

Do you have a cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be received thirty (30) business days prior to event date.

Is there parking available on site?
There are over 7,700 parking spots available on campus. You can contact Parking Services directly at parking@yorku.ca to discuss short term parking options including pre paid parking for your guests. You can find parking options available via the YorkU Campus Map here.

Do you allow outside catering?
Cedarstone is the exclusive food service provider in the Second Student Centre. Our Executive Chef is happy to customize a menu to suit your various tastes and budgets.

Do you offer vegetarian, vegan, halal, or gluten-free options?
Cedarstone offers a variety of dietary-friendly options, including vegetarian, vegan, halal, and gluten-free selections. Please indicate dietary requirements when placing your order.

Will my guests be able to access your wifi?
Standard internet is complimentary, under AirYorkGuest. To request a dedicated hardwire line, discuss directly with Catering and Events Manager.

Is AV included?
Cedarstone offers in-house audio-visual services which includes sound/light system, projectors and screens, microphones, speakers, and laptop. After discussing the AV equipment required for your event with the Catering & Events Manager, detailed pricing will be added to your quote. An AV Technician must be scheduled one (1) hour before and one (1) hour after the Event with no exceptions

We recommend that you inquire about availability as soon as you have a date in mind for your event.
